ARTIST STATEMENT
My art work is an dialogue with the past and present. Using discarded materials perceived as not important I piece together a personal narrative. It is an expressions of a person living in world that doesn’t make sense, where history is ignored yet ever present.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Graduated From the School of the Art Institute, BFA studied with Karl Wirsum, Ray Yoshida, Frank Piatek and Joan Flash. Worked on installation of Judy Chicagos Dinner Party in Printers Row. Founded the Bucktown Fine Arts the non profit which produces The Bucktown Arts Fest. The event is still going strong. In 2021 my capstone project for my Master in Educating Adults was The Garden as Inspiration art classes. This was in collaboration with the master gardener and Garden Club in Wicker Park. The classes have grown to include 4, 6 week sessions per year. Another outgrowth is this year we are planing Wicker Park Fine Arts Fair Participated in Jackson Junge 10 X 10 Show, 2024 Designed and produced a collage workshop, “Pretend its a City” at The Artist Book House, 2025 Participated in CAVA Later Impressions at EAC, 2025
