This work is a collection of dissected images, bold color palettes and the incorporation of perishable items alongside symbolic references to preservation. Preserved State draws from the instinctual human response to want to preserve most, if not all, things. This instinct is so strong even death itself is preserved for observance, remembrance, celebration or closure. Photography is also a form of preservation and is the exclusive medium for this body of work.
