ARTIST STATEMENT
These sculptural pieces abstractly depict the effect of pollutions constant erosion of the environment. I have utilized man made objects jutting out of faux grass commenting on the human presence that has been picking at the Earth for as long as people have been alive. Since there is no way that the toxins produced by industry can escape the atmosphere it all simply filters into the landscape and nature having minor and major visual as well as at the molecular level effects on all things living. These pieces combine the industrial waste as well as un-recycled produces in a decretive fashion while also alerting the public that this is a constant problem not being addressed to the full extent as it should be.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
These are my first attempts at sculptural artworks. My father has been an artist all his life, teaching at the college and university level, trade show designer, as well as being a full time public artist. He has been helping me find my way and voice pertaining to artwork so I can express myself and personal concerns for the world I live on.
