ARTIST STATEMENT
Both of these pieces were drawn or sculpted from life. Although I love to work in many different media from graphite, watercolor, pastel, oil, acrylic and clay, I find the human portrait to be one of the most beautiful, compelling and profound subjects. Any intimate moment that another human being allows us to be a part of, and especially to capture/document, is a rare privilege and one that touches most of us, both as makers or viewers, in our own deepest and most vulnerable emotions.
