Inner worlds may express themselves freely, being reflected easily in our external surroundings. However, some of our inner workings chose the shadows and are much deeper stories to unfold. I have created an exploration of the very internal to the external, how we may be buried within ourselves and what space we may find there.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Harper Hazelmare (she/they + we/our/ours) is a non-binary, queer botanical artist, writer of cautionary tales, and keeper of a community apothecary. When not enjoying the color yellow, Harper can be found experimenting in her home studio with found objects or growing black peppermint for Herbalists Without Borders.
I have worked for the Chicago Park District since June 1992.
