ARTIST STATEMENT
Art, for me, is always about healing for the artist as well as the audience. I firmly believe that seeing, making, sharing and enjoying art is important to the balance and complete expression of individuals and community.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
As a native of Chicago, I have been lucky to grow in an environment with visual expression all around and have enjoyed the opportunities to understand and engage with the many visual languages of art.
I studied art studio and art history at University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana with a minor in geology. I continued at U of I in Chicago, focusing master’s studies on Mexican art.
