Since childhood, all I ever wanted to do was draw and paint.

It is what I do.

It has led me down many paths – and it is always about observation. It begins with looking at everything: textures, folds, creases, roundness, squareness, sinuousness. Edges and spaces. Objects. Light and shadow. Velvety dark and gleaming white and soft middle tones.

If it was ever about anything, it would have been to look at things that are often passed by. A cabbage or an old tire or a pile of onions. Apples.
