ARTIST STATEMENT
As a woman in this country, I am in a perpetual state of rage and disgust. There is the sense that we are truly living through the Handmaid’s Tale. Having grown up in the 1960-1970’s, I am aghast that we are where we are. I am particularly angry at the women who accept the denigration being meted out. Who in the crowd objected to the vile comment (one of many) made by President Trump? The chicks I paint will continue to carry my message. I will not be silenced.
