I feel lucky to be still alive, still able to see, and still painting. The mystery and wonder of the visual world are as intense to me at age 77 as they were as a child. I am still looking into the micro, and also looking out to landscape, hoping to find the same jewel-like intensity of form and color.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I live on Seneca Lake in Upstate New York. I have made sculpture for about twenty years, in various media, subject matter and sizes, followed by about 20 years of painting. In younger years I was a professional dancer, and then an editor in a publishing house. I raised three children, traveled abroad for terms with my academic husband, children and students. Having the opportunity to follow creative activities has been a huge gift.
