Ungloved (2020)
acrylic paint, acrylic medium, paper on porcelain
19.5 x 5 x 5 in.

Ungloved – This piece started life as a porcelain form in a factory that made gloves. COVID19 caused a shortage of gloves which are used as a protective barrier for the helping hands of many everyday superheroes. In spite of being unprotected (Ungloved), exhausted and scared, this brave group of individuals, from doctors to grocery store janitors, has continued to do what needs to be done and continue to touch our lives. This piece honors their dedication, their compassion, and their sacrifice.
