ARTIST STATEMENT
As of May 30, 2026, more than 21, 000 children have died in the genocide in Gaza. This piece is a prayer, a plea: for the cessation of violence, for protection of the innocent, for the safety of those who cannot protect themselves. As a mother, as a human, my own heart is rent asunder. When will we learn there is no such thing as other people’s children?
