“In developing the Domestic Considerations series several years ago, I was dumbfounded by the fact that most working women, with a partner and children, still do the majority of the housework. And a February 2020 poll showed that even though younger men are more aware of gender issues and the like, “among opposite-sex couples, those [men] ages 18 to 34 were no more likely than older couples to divide most household chores equitably.” Looks like I should make billboards out of these pieces in efforts to educate…sigh.”
Ann Tracy is Maine’s Digital Alchemist who has had work exhibited in NYC and across the US and internationally in Spain, Germany and Belgium. Two pieces from the Domestic Considerations series were first exhibited at the Berlin Foto Biennale 2016. Most of her digital work is part of a limited edition series.
