ARTIST STATEMENT
When I paint, I find myself in an inner space where there is no past or future, only the present moment. My intuition takes over and I embark on an adventure within multidimensional planes, where abstract images are translated into a painted fantasy.
My works present the viewer with a multiplicity of depth, color, contrasts and transparencies that create worlds of phantasms that are cast with amorphic images. The characters come to me from my imaginary world, if they do not make it to the canvas they will be lost forever. The viewer is confronted with simultaneous dilemmas. Where at times the images are not evident at first glance but by further exploration the undefined are revealed.
My paintings carry an ecstatic quality. According to the emotional state of the viewer, the images become a part of their reality.
When one experiences my paintings they are confronted with the undefined.
