View these works s a series. The primary shape/form evolves. Evolution is evident in the reformations that exist within the series and within each work. Excavation of the shape/form leads to discovery of that evolution. Direction of the future is dictated by the past. Similarities emerge. Different / Same.

Remnants of previous colors reveal truths of earlier times. Transparent wax layers and layers of color conceal and expose simultaneously that which existed before. Shapes / forms emerge / fade concurrently.

The viscosity of wax – and indexical artifact – suggests the path of time and the inherent evolution in the work. Wax as media, wax as metaphor, wax as content.

Like words that suggest, not explain, these works exist.
