Amy Pleasant is a Seattle figurative painter. Her work is known by its high chroma palette and painterly technique, providing the scaffolding for the exploration of memory and generational transition. Her work has shown in Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York with solo exhibitions in Seattle, Dallas and Amsterdam. These paintings of traditional midwestern houses are a part of the series, Primordial Imprint, an exploration on the influence of memory and generational transition rooted in the artist’s experience growing up in Ohio.
