Allison Hill

Allison Hill is a Chicago-based painter who frequently creates powerful and mysterious portraits of women. Her recent exhibitions include: Pablo Perea & Allison Hill, Havana Gallery, Chicago, IL; Voces de Mujeres at Carlos and Dominguez Fine Arts; Women Adrift at Morpho Gallery, Chicago, IL; Devils and Beasts, The Art Center, Highland Park, IL; and Unveiled, Paintings by Allison Hill & Johanna Vargas, La Llorona Gallery, Chicago. She has shown her work internationally in exhibitions held in Austria, Greece, and Mexico. Hill received a B.A. in Art from DePaul University with a concentration in Printmaking and Drawing. In addition to maintaining her studio practice, Hill directs the Havana Gallery, a space located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood dedicated to the presentation of work by Cuban artists.
