Cat Del Buono

While working in television production for the past fourteen years as a writer, director, producer, editor, and cameraperson, Del Buono pursed filmmaking and photography on the side. Recently, she received an MFA at the School of Visual Arts where she found that video installations build on her experiences with photography and filmmaking. Del Buono experiments with projects that blur the edge between photography and video, merging the best aspects of both media. She creates documentaries, video installations, and photographs which have been shown in gallery spaces in Chelsea, the DUMBO Arts Festival, East Hampton, and Chicago, to name a few. Del Buono received awards from the Thomas Reiss Memorial Award for her thesis project, two television program grants, and acceptance into the Juried Artist Program at ArtCenter in Miami, Florida.
