ARTIST STATEMENT

My work combines my practices as an art therapist and textile artist, where I balance intention and intuition. Throughout my practice, I am drawn to themes of healing, memory, resilience, and transformation. Textile processes, with their associations of repair, care, and connection, provide a framework for exploring these themes while honoring the emotional stories woven into our lives. I value creating alongside others and contributing to collaborative creative spaces as a member of the Fiber Artists of Miami Association (FAMA) and through my studio at Red Thread Art Studio Miami. By integrating my backgrounds in fiber art and art therapy, I create work that encourages reflection, connection, and well-being. My goal is to develop meaningful installations for educational and healthcare environments, where art can foster dialogue, inspire engagement, and support healing and human connection.
