ABOUT THE ARTIST
Stella Bach is a feminist artist who explores fundamental existential questions: the potential for self-realisation, the individual’s place in society, gender relations, prevailing notions of female roles, solidarity and competition amongst women, the search for role models and ideals of beauty, and our current relationship with the environment. In doing so, she employs a wide variety of media – ranging from painting, photography and sculpture to installation. (Sabine Fellner)
Born 1959 in Salzburg
Lives and works in Vienna.
1979 – 1984: University of applied arts in Vienna
Teached experimental design and grafics in Fashion School Vienna since 1990 – 2019.
She is represented in several public and private collections and numerous national and international exhibitions.
