ARTIST STATEMENT
I am the same, I have always been the same (this doesn’t mean we can’t all change and grow). I believe in luck (this also means I believe in calamity) I am not apathetic. Eventually I feel my body coming back to me. I want to come to some sort of understanding. Because of this, I see ghosts in the windows opposing me as I walk by them. I always try to remember the equinox. I go on bike rides so fast the wind starts to feel like a fan, and I lull myself to sleep. I say please and thank you. I know the air is sweeter at night. I want to have favorite bars, favorite restaurants, favorite parks. One day I will remember when I wore lipstick. I still look forward to recess. I trick myself. I am only kidding. I remember salt water makes you crazy. I no longer fear the risk of change. I want to believe you. I do it for old times sake. I find my way back. I maintain. I buy in. I am almost to the finish line.
