ARTIST STATEMENT
This work examines the quiet and often, unnoticed labor of women in creating and sustaining a life for themselves and those they hold dear. In an a study of the figure’s movements, these paintings offer homage to the meditation of daily work, particularly as it relates to food and the feeding of others.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mia Loia Zoller is an artist and art educator based in Greenville SC. She is primarily interested in exploration of human’s relationships to their environment and how that is often reflected or neglected through our consumerist culture.
