It could destroy ones emotional experience of this picture to reveal too much here, but it is important to note the title “Harbor” is both a noun and a verb.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mary King survived her creative and unusual mother and now makes art every day in her Kenwood studio in Chicago.
King’s solo exhibitions include those at 65 Grand in Chicago and Denise Bibro Fine Art in New York. King was awarded artist residencies at Vermont Studio Center VT, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts NE, and Mother’s Milk KS.
She is currently embarking on making new work and intentionally not knowing where it is going.
