ARTIST STATEMENT
My mixed media and collage work uses reclaimed materials as well as found and mono-printed papers. I’m drawn to the way we exist within landscapes, both physical and emotional, and how we interact with them. I’m also interested in the way that statuary and sculpture immortalize and memorialize. Placing pieces of these types of art into imagined landscapes brings natural and internal worlds together. My interest in visual art rekindled during the pandemic, and as a writer most familiar with the world of words, my visual art has appeared primarily in literary journals.
