Description

ARTIST STATEMENT

The history of beads fascinate me as not only adornments, but historically as a form of trade and currency. Look into any culture and one will find a rich history and artifact featuring a bead. As a former student of fashion, I was always fascinated by couture beaded applications on cloth. My beaded collars began as an organic process of beading forms onto stiff horsehair, then evolving into what I call “wearable art” finished with fabric backings. Wear it with simple black turtle neck or open white shirt.
