ARTIST STATEMENT
Nina’s interdisciplinary artistic practice employs a wide range of media, including two-dimensional drawing, painting and photography, three-dimensional animation and puppetry, and other dimensional explorations, often in collaboration with other artists and community. She explores themes that emerge intuitively, focusing on identity, symbols emerging from dreams and relationships with the natural world, exploring with curiosity the urban ecology of her neighborhood. She was a guest artist at the Labrabrador Creative Arts Festival, recipient of an artistic exchange grant from Jumblies Theatre, and artist facilitator for the Makhampom Theatre Foundation in Chiang Dao, Thailand.
