ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hedy Torres is a contemporary Mexican painter living in Los Angeles. She immigrated to the United States of America in 2006. Torres earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Art degrees from California State University, Northridge.
Currently, Torres focuses her art practice on elevating the labor of street vendors from Los Angeles and Mexico. She also brings her art to restaurants in Los Angeles to connect directly with her audience and make her art more accessible to the community.
Torres has exhibited artwork in Los Angeles, Orange County, New York, and Mexico City.
