ARTIST STATEMENT
I was 22 when Roe v. Wade was passed. Now the conservative Supreme Court reverses it after 50 years. How quickly progress can be thwarted when patriarchy and religious rules gain control. I chose to make a sculpture from one of my favorite books and tv series. There are many other dystopian books that portray what happens to society when rights are taken away.
