ARTIST STATEMENT
The Lace Paintings are feminine, feminist and speak from a woman’s point of view. My new work, Property of the US Govt. is lace of a uterus, a defiant stance about body politics. The painting, acrylic on canvas, was used to design an edition of 10 lace pieces, a print of a painting.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a painter living in Sonoma, California, born in San Francisco. I studied painting at the University of San Francisco and the Academy of Art College cooperative BFA program. I received an MFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design.
