ARTIST STATEMENT
While I started as a painter, my practice employs a variety of mediums. Most recently, I have been enthralled with thread and the challenges of thinking about space, color, and mark through embroidery. This medium can feel “painterly” when marks are scaled down significantly from the marks I am used to in painting and drawing. The scale also creates an intimate view for one person.
