ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kiki McGrath is a multidisciplinary artist based in Chicago. She received her B.A. in Environmental Conservation and M.F.A. in Fine Arts. McGrath’s paintings, installations and performances examine domestic and spiritual labor through the lens of ritual, gender, and place. She has held residencies and exhibitions in galleries, seminaries and laundry rooms, both nationally and internationally. Recent work includes Polishing the Glass Ceiling in the Chicago Cultural Center, Chicago, IL, Women’s Work in the Indianapolis Art Center, Indianapolis, IN, and Laundry/Ecstasy in the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land, Washington, DC.
