What I Am Making of My Life
wood block ink print on paper
12.75 x 12 (framed)
$300

As an advertising art director for many years, I learned to work conceptually with images and copy to sell products in print and television media. Along the way, I began to develop my own style of art using these skills to tell my own story. Often my work takes on the look of a storyboard or uses words and poetry to enhance the imagery. The piece “What I Am” is the third image in a series depicting a child’s growth from infancy through adulthood. Beneath the surface are the written reflections, memories, hopes and dreams of early manhood.
