I am a third-generation Bolivian artist. My work evokes the feminine mythologies of traditional seeds and the Andean agrocentric symbolism.
Since 2000, I have created a series of paintings entitled “Siembra de Mamalas,” reflecting sowing rituals, the role of women in the Andean cosmo-vision, and the protection of biodiversity. I have worked with the NGO Centro de Diseño Artesanal y Cooperativa Campesina (Arte Campo) in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and with Guarani, Chiquitano, and Ayoreo communities on a project designed to assist in affirming indigenous art.
