When education switched to school-at-home in March, my children felt an immediate sense of loss and sadness. The place and people they enjoyed spending their days with were now shut off to them. While I tried my best to keep him focused, my 10-year old spent a lot of “school” time daydreaming and watching out the window, thinking of all the ways he missed his friends and teachers, and fearing the uncertainty of when he would be able to see them again.
