Yearning for human embrace is near universal, but this pandemic has caused a profound fear of being touched. “Noli Me Tangere” is meant to be touched. This small book is invitingly covered with cashmere, but the inside images are mostly empty silhouettes. Its title comes from the New Testament: after the resurrection, Jesus says to Mary Magdalene, “Don’t touch me.”
