This previously-unknown neighbor has been appearing at my third-floor window, which looks out from my sheltering workspace. A silent, remote investigator, he seems to be checking the welfare of the house-bound. While I think of the window screen and frame as symbols of separation in this series, a cat I cannot touch keeps in touch, and I leave a camera by the window to record his welcome visits.
