Lisa Jenschke is a local artist, who grew up in Dallas, studied in Germany, got married in England, and left the Seattle rain to move to Chicago winters. Her multidisciplinary work is heavy on printmaking, but she also spends time in performance, video, and installation. In her current work, Jenschke strives, sometimes playfully sometimes poignantly, to understand the changing political landscape and how it impacts us personally. Most notably her series “The Trump in the Room,” and “Playtime at the Whitehouse” encourage the viewer to engage through conversation, iterative work, and humor.
