I paint domestic scenes of still lifes and family members that symbolize the struggles of life, and the gifts that emerge from them. I work from life, giving solid form to spiritual ideas. I often use reflections and transparent items to serve as a contrast to objects with a strong sense of form. At first glance, these puzzling collections seem confused, but through the composition, and the choice of objects, relationships are perceived that give the viewer new possibilities of meaning.

I do acknowledge troubles and sacrifice, but display that through these trials, come strength and hope. The objects in the still lifes are metaphors for the longing of redemption. Combined as a still life, they show reality of my personal spiritual responsibility as it is lived out as a woman, wife, mother, and artist. This collection of work is a quiet reflection that celebrates the complete design of my life.
