My artwork reveals the interplay of reality and imagination using imagery that combines the representational with the symbolic to create a multi-layered, dream-like visual environment. With a distinct feminist perspective, I examine social and environmental conditions, issues of identity, and the expression of the Divine Feminine. I celebrate the unity between humanity and nature, focusing on the evolution of self as a means to transform the world. We are witness to the domination and extinction of wildlife through the imperialistic and pathological pursuit of profit. The carefully rendered and repeated portraits within the “Our Endangered World” series bring awareness to these critically endangered species in hopes that we will accept our responsibility to help protect them.These paintings expose the ever changing and unresolved nature of life itself. My endless questioning the nature of our existence stems from an insatiable curiosity and a love for truth. I believe in the sacredness of the human experience. Art is a portal to mutate my curiosity into a form I can share, to transfer metaphysical exploration into imagery; to give form to the formless.
