These works are an observance of the synchronic traits of vulnerability and resilience in animals: a fish caught and released, rabbits braced in their winter hutch amid a snow-packed sand dune of the Chicago lakefront footpath—the images illuminate what nature endures. By heeding that animals are persistent in their own silent way of being, regardless of what humans do, the work advocates for those creatures struggling to contend with the human world.
