The Baby Carriage paintings are my genuine invention. I transform these charming functional items into emotionally laden containers representing home, protection, and transportation. Alongside appear small creatures in sometime playful, often uncomfortable situations. I first develop the settings, then, working from real objects and subjects, I create an image replete with psychoanalytic associates. It is in this landscape that the imaginary and the real intermingle, suggesting a ludic quality of the recollection.
