My work is an outgrowth of my interest in the unknowable boundary between magic and reality as expressed in forms which appear to be “natural” but are, in actuality, imagined. This piece is meant to evoke the mysterious quality of a possible ritual, dream, or memory. I use wax and other natural materials in combination with small domestic items such as pins, thread, cloth, and hair to call up these occurrences.
