I see faces everywhere: cracks in the ceiling, hiding in wood grain, alongside cliff walls, making their presence known in the interweaving of tree branches, clouds, and miscellaneous shadows. . . Could this be our Ancestors reminding us?

The legacy of African-Americans is very rich: strength, spirit, wisdom, and perseverance. Though severed from our African roots and culture, we remain connected by the blood that runs through our veins. The “Ancestors” paintings are a colorful homage to those that have gone before and helped to pave the way for future generations.
