My work examines relationships between facts, perceptions, and contemporary mythology as presented in mass media. Using digital media, I propose situations that formally and metaphorically challenge popular media presentations. My objective is to create environments that allow room for paradox and ambiguity. Digital media allow me to reconfigure images and texts, juxtapose them and present them in ways that evoke commercial media while critically examining them. I look for circumstances that do not reinforce the myths we depend on to explain the unexplainable. I present another version of reality to consider, but it is intended to be provocative rather than definitive.
