My work is about relationships that become accessible through interaction. It is the variation of line and altering shape that allows me to appreciate the weight and vitality of each individual mark in an effort to create an energetic community of interacting forms. I am drawn to the edges of my environment to connect with the natural world’s rhythms and cycles, to record the shapes of rocks, cracks in the earth and the images that emerge. Walking, I’m reminded that my journey is just one more layer of human and geographic history; grains of sand in the space of community.
