My Dog Has Fleas” is a reflection of the passage of time yet the continued presence and influence of that passage of time on the present. Selected objects with family history are combined with found objects and personal contemporary objects. The drawing portrays a melding of the past with the present.

The drawing is done in charcoal on a wood panel. The uses of shadow and negative space are important considerations taken in the placement of the objects and the use of light.
