My figurative watercolors explore the ambiguity of play using female players. These images come from constructed and documented games played by a specific set of models: my mother and three sisters. The rules of “PLAY” dictate that players separate from the “real” world for the duration of a game, a make-believe or a playful competition. In that time they alone exist within the reality of the game. This is the world from which I create my modern-day fairy tales.
