Oil painting is my primary means of making art. I use painting to express what I think and I paint from life to improve my powers of observation. I strive to create work that is visually attractive in order to seduce viewers. Once I have their attention, I work to express ideas about our cultural realities. Still life and plein air paintings give me practice working with color, value and composition so I may then produce quality “story” paintings stemming from my thoughts and ideas.
