I am currently exploring the psychological resonance of trauma. Through the use of photography, I construct externalized states of heightened sexuality, voyeurism, and pain in an attempt to challenge the viewer’s physicality. My private performances seek duality within the interior and exterior forces of self and the animalistic, violent, and grotesque elements of human nature. Inspired by visually graphic cinema and artists that challenge corporeal endurance, the gestures employed in my work are implicit through the experimentation of the medium that simultaneously disorients and confronts the viewer.
