Our creations are pieces of ourselves and our lives pulled out of the abstract and into the concrete world. 2003 was a bad year. This quilt is the result. Sewn into this quilt are the anger, the sense of betrayal, the helplessness, and the grief I felt in that year. Like many others who are and were against the war, I felt silenced. This quilt is my public shout. It is me – standing in this public place – shouting “THIS IS WRONG.”
