Sunny Sentiments: A Tribute to Summer’s Glow

CHICAGO––Woman Made Gallery (WMG) is excited to announce their first exhibition in collaboration with the Gwen Hotel. This exhibition was curated by Woman Made Gallery’s Membership and Volunteer Coordinator, Astrid Houze de l’Aulnoit. She included work by four Chicago-based member artists: Anne Nordhaus-Bike, Louise Pappageorge, Kim Laurel, and  Lucy VanRegenmorter. The opening reception will be held at the Gwen Hotel, 521 N Rush St, Chicago, IL, 60611 on Monday, August 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. 

Exhibiting Artists: Anne Nordhaus-Bike, Louise Pappageorge, Kim Laurel, and  Lucy VanRegenmorter.

About the Juror: Born in Lille, France, Astrid Houze de l’Aulnoit grew up in the art world, spending all of her free time in auction houses, art galleries and museums. She quickly started to work in the art world, and started as a gallery assistant for an art fair at the age of 15, and has never stopped since then. At the age of 17, Astrid immigrated by herself to the US, and a year later she started her BA in Art History and Entrepreneurship at Lake Forest College. During her senior year, she started interning at Woman Made Gallery where she is now the Membership and Volunteer coordinator. She recently got her art market expertise certification from the Sotheby’s institute of Art, and she is getting ready to start her master at Columbia College in Art Management in the fall.
